Fillet-head Liberty left; reverse wreath. The 1814 crosslet 4 vs. plain 4 split the last year.
History
Struck during the War of 1812 from often wretched British-planchet copper — porous, dark, and weakly struck is typical. 1811 is the key. No cents in 1815, the only gap in the large-cent run. High-grade Classic Heads with original surfaces are genuinely rare.
